So far the extra actions haven't proven to be that overwhelming (at most its 3 and only for a Master, who should be amazing). The only thing we've discussed doing is toneing down the use raises to kill extra brutes effect. While I like the effect (brings to mind the hallway scene in Princess Bride) its way to easy to abuse and means that I have to throw more and more henchmen at the party which takes longer to resolve. So far we're thinking of requiring a Drama Dice in order to use the whack-a-brute rule...cutting down multiple men in such quick succession is clearly a dramatic moment. Another thing we've done is to answer the question about the off hand for single weapon fencers. After all in the movies they're always using their fists or what not. We went with a single off hand action die for any characters whose off hand isn't tied up doing something else (Aldana is behind the back, or when using two handed weapons). This die is at +5 for such untrained types so that they act later in the round and half the time, lose the die for going over 10. We allow Dirtyfighting techniques, Pugilism attacks or jabs, and Bind which I added as a Wrestling advanced knack (because it made sense) to be used with the off hand die. Make the duel much more flavorful. -- Contents Copyright (C) 1997,98,99 by ALDERAC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, INC.
