McGee Country of Origin: Avalon Description: The McGees (as in "Bloody" Bonnie) have always been renowned as the fiercest of the highland clans. Much like Leegstra, it isn't a fighting style so much as a sheer act of resolve. Originally designed to be used with axes, McGee has been adapted for use with claymores. The style is simple, and lacking in subtlety. It relies exclusively on using brute strength to break through an opponent's defense. Parries from lighter weapons are easily brushed aside with the sheer weight of the claymore. McGee warriors are also well-known for their fearlessness in battle, in the face of supernatural horrors. The McGee style places more emphasis on footwork and offense than on parries and blocks. There is only a very limited repertoire of parries and blocks, which students are trained to exploit. Basic Curriculum: Athletics, Heavy Weapons Swordsman Knacks: Beat (Heavy Weapon), Disarm (Heavy Weapon), Lunge (Heavy Weapon), Exploit Weakness (McGee) Apprentice: They say at the McGee school that men are made into boys. Even the apprentice warrior is trained to show no fear, even in the face of overwhelming odds. Students of the McGee school may add their school rank in unkept dice to their Resolve when defending against Intimidation or Fear. Journeyman: There are few things more terrifying than a charging McGee warrior. With their woad and their battle cries, they can terrify even the staunchest Vestenmannavnjar warrior. McGee gains a free raise on any Intimidation action. Master: Masters can batter aside any weapon with their heavy claymore. Their attacks may not be parried, though other active defenses can be used. Rob PS: I think the Master level power is a bit lame, and nobody likes parries anyway. I may just switch the master and journeyman powers, and give them more free raises on intimidation, since Intimidation is nasty anyway. Any other ideas? I'm also thinking of creating another subtler, flashier claymore school, which will probably incorporate flashy maneuvers, bonuses to called shots, etc. It'll be the Akodo school as compared to the Matsu school. -- Contents Copyright (C) 1997,98,99 by ALDERAC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, INC.
