Perhaps this should cost a drama die (compared to other styles that is). The end result is far better than jab, which only does (brawn)k1 x2. This does (brawn +2)k2 x2. A character with 3 brawn will average 16 with the double successful jab hit, whereas the same character will average about 34 with the other technique... COmpare it with other "extra damage" apprentice techniques to see the difference... > Journeyman technique: Blitzen journeymen often inflict scalp wounds on > enemies; blood flowing into the eyes then blinds the target and leaves > them open to further attacks. This is fine, if simmilar (and far superior) to the Aldana rank 1 technique... > Master technique: A Blitzen master controls the tempo of battle - while > using this technique, at the start of each round he may choose to reroll > one of his Action dice once in the hope of a result more to his liking - > the rerolled result must be kept. That's fine, though, basically isn't it "combat reflexes?" Maybe he could force his opponent to reroll one as well (but they both must reroll as he vys for controling the pace?) I'm not sure I feel the style is "Eisen"-ish enough, you know? Seems more like a rouge Castillian or Vodacce or Pirate Nation style. Maybe it's from some part of Eisen close to Castille or Vodacce (or Vice Versa). Maybe it's sprung up in mercantile Frieburg only recently, teaching anyone. It also doesnt seem to take advantage of the Eisen Nobilities edge of Drakeneisen. Without any nobles to favor the school, im not sure it would get much renown above Eisenfaust, at least at the Acadamies. Or I could just be mad... Mad Mario "It is necessary to distinguish between bravados and Masters: bravados show their knowledge as a mere exhibition, and they receive the clap of the masses; on the other side, Masters teach fencing and lots of tips, but they always hide their best. There is a third category: theoretical Masters; these ones do not teach by doing but by speech. A real Master must join together both categories: theoretical and practical." - Alvaro Guerra de la Vega, 1681 http://www.lightlink.com/mario/Dairyas_saddlebags.html -- Contents Copyright (C) 1997,98,99 by ALDERAC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, INC.
