It's a funny little story. We (Kevin W., Patrick K., Jim P., and I) were coming up with the Guilds in the Vendel League and decided we wanted what would become Jenny's Guild. Right under "Blacksmith's Guild" we wrote "Whore's Guild". My boss - John Z. - walked in, saw what we had written up there and said, "You are kidding me, right?" I said, "No. It'll be great!" "Okay," he said. "But call them 'the Companion's Guild'. Don't use the 'W word'." So, we wrote down "Companion's Guild." Jennifer walked in then, looked at what we had done (erased one word and wrote another) and shook her head. "I can't believe you guys did that. Do we have the Mercedes Lackey Guild, too?" We talked a while about it, decided we'd call them the "X Guild" where "X" was the name of the woman who founded it. We tossed around a bunch of ex-girlfriend names to which Jennifer said, "Negative energy guys. Bad game designers. Call 'em the Jenny Guild." And it was so. So, in a very real way, they really are Jenny's Guild. Just thought you'd like to know. John W. 7th Sea Line Developer and Arch-Villain ( www.7thsea.com) "The GM Rules: Rule 1: There are no rules.
