As I've just now read this thread, I feel that I should point out that Eisenfaust Apprentice Raises are good only specifically for your next attack against that opponent. They don't combo off the Disarm Knack, because that's not strictly an attack. They WOULD help you with a Beat attack, but that's a different ball game. Certainly, of course, the Eisenfaust disarmer has the benefit of a +1 Brawn, though that's dubious, since I see a lot of straight 2 Trait characters. Also, the opportunity to disarm arises more often thanks to the higher TN of the Eisenfaust student. So yes, I'd say the Eisenfaust student has an advantage in combat over a non-Swordsman. Whether or not that extends to other Swordsmen, I could debate, as I feel that the benefits of several of the schools have been overlooked. As to whether these benefits are worth the 25 points they pay, most folks on the list say no. I'm still waiting and watching to see. I'm not sure yet, though the schools worked pretty effectively in testing. If I find the schools are either too powerful or too weak, then suggestions for fixing the situation will certainly be forthcoming. -Kevin -- Contents Copyright (C) 1997,98,99 by ALDERAC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, INC.
