I am inviting all of you (again) to sent me characters and scene suggestions for the Ambassadorial Ball at Twin Unicorn House. Have an Avalonian character you are particularly pleased with? Send me a description and why they are attending the Ball) and I will try to include them in the narrative at least. If there is interest on the list, I will also post what happened at the Ball. >> I hope this message finds you well. I am honored by the invitation to your Ambassadorial Ball and am pleased to inform you that I will be gladly in attendance. I will be there as your guest, as well as a representative of the Explorer's Society. The Society is planning an auction in late Spring to raise funds for the most ambitious expeditions thusfar endeavored and the Ball will be an excellent opportunity to publicize the event. However, rest assured that I will not let business interfere with pleasure. I hope it would not be impolite of me to bring a guest. As I will be carrying a few small but valuable samples of Syrneth items, it behooves me to bring a Shieldman to prevent any unfortunate circumstances. I anxiously look forward to a delightful evening at Twin Unicorn Estates. Sincerely, Lady Elly MacAllister, Explorer's Society Elly is a 26 year old of mixed Avalon and Highland blood. She is petite - 5'3' with strawberry blond hair that she usually keeps braided down her back and greenish-blue eyes. She has a mellow and easy going manner - always polite, with a gentle humor and shy charm. However, she is not meek and if provoked, will be bold and unflinching- but still polite. She will be dressed to the nines for the evening, in a lavish dress of seafoam green taffeta and frothy lace that leaves her lightly freckled shoulders bare. As part of her attempt to publicize the Society auction, she will be wearing a necklace, two bracelets and a ring of Syrneth origin. These items possess an unearthly beauty, and have been deemed as purely decorative by the Society's researchers. They are examples of the type of artifacts that will be available at the auction. However, Syrneth artifacts often contain undetected surprises, and they may very well have some sort of powers that no one has yet discovered. But even if they are simply jewelry, they are still very valuable. She will be apparently unarmed, though she has a small dagger slipped into the garter of her right stocking. She will be accompanied by a Society Shieldman named Stephan Strathmore. Stephan is 32, from Avalon and very skilled with a rapier and main gauche as well as dirty fighting. He is an experienced Shieldman and is good at improvising in unexpected circumstances. He is about 6'2", with an athletic build and a prominent, distinguished mustache. He will also be dressed in elegant finery, though less spectacularly than his charge. Stephan will carry his beautiful rapier and main gauche at his side in a decorative balderic, and a small flintlock pistol in a hidden pocket of his frock coat. He will not relinquish these weapons and he and Elly will leave rather than enter without protection. He is there to make sure that she and the jewels are safe. He will be polite and unobstrusive and stick close to her all evening, watching carefully for any sign of foul play. Elly and Stephan's relationship is purely professional, though they have worked together before and consider each other friends. Elly will be distributing information about the auction as well as offering promotional tales of the Society to inspire support and encourage membership. Need anything else? I don't have stats for either of these characters right now, but I can work something up if you need them. Also, this is not a cannon AEG 7th Sea endeavor, just a personal use of my characters. This sounds like fun! Hope this adds something to the evening. Cris -- Contents Copyright (C) 1997,98,99 by ALDERAC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, INC.
