"Now I's tell ya true, Jimmy me boy'o, this place was like no other I'd ever'ad seen, and on me mudd'ers eyes tis the Theus' own truth." His words were slurred by rum but his eyes were bright, and not unlike a child's , recanting a tale of the Knights of olde. " We were sailing in tat dangerous part of da world, Jimmy lad, in da Forbidden Sea. Dat's near those sons'a' Demons of the Crescent Moon! An'a storm blew us off compass, it did, and beached us on this Isle." He paused to swill some rum, and then continued. "We t'ought we twas in Theus' paradise itself, the Isle was so beaut'ful. Come morn'n the cap'n send s us a'shore to replace der rations we lost in'a storm. We row'd a'shore and the beach twas white like snow, and the weather, now, twas fair. We went in'a da trees in search of water and food, and we's fon'it, Jimmy, we's fon'it a'plenty!" "A pool of fresh water like nun I ever did see b'fore! It shined like quicksilver it did! And sum'ow it took the pains ov da day away." "We was collect'n da fruits and wild game we found along w'da water, and dats when we 'eard it, Jim. A sound like da dee'd i'self! Da men ran for da long boats, an dats when I seen it!' "It walked lik'a man, two legs it had, like trees dey were! It was all cover'd wit fur black as tar, but its eyes Jim, its eyes, shown like red coals from Legion i'self I tells ya!" "I ran, Jim, not pay'in a'tetion to where I twas goin, but to get away from dat nightmare!" "An dats when I fon'it Jimmy, a city, a whole, gran'er dan da Vaticine City i'self, an made entir'ly a brass!" How did he make it off the Isle, and outrun that terrible beast he described, I never found out. For he promptly passed out in a drunken stupor, his tale had most assuredly drained the very life from him, as I watched him age ten years before my very eyes! Excerp from the Diary of James MacPherson a Privateer of Avalon The Island of the City of Brass is talked about n Legend. It was first seen by a Knight of the Cross (Die Kreuzritter) during the Crusade. The story told is of a Knight questing to find the secret burial place of the 2nd prophet, and to secure an artifact of holy reverence to their order that was burried with him by the infidels. Wether or not his mission was a sucess is lost in the mists of time. Of the Island itself, the tale tells of a paradise that has all the food any man could want, and the quicksilver pool that heals the tired, sick, and the dying. There are also tale of a giant man like beast covered in black fur that defends the Island and city from looters and thieves. Though rumors abound about the untold riches, secrets and the like, There is a map. Unfortunately, its in the Vaticine City's Church library, and is under gruard lest it cause true believers to stray from the path of the church has set for the world.
