So, I am going to try having metal armor remove 2 unkept dice. So, a person with a brawn 3, finesse 3, and attack 3 would be a 4k3 when fighting in metal armor and would do 6k3 with a heavy weapon and would be 5k3 when rolling to soak damage. So, with non-dracheneisen armor you take the same amount of damage, you are just less likely to be dramatically wounded and you have less finesse unkept dice. Dracheneisen armor is still preferable for the truly awe-inspiring armored warrior. You are harder to hit and take less damage and have all of your finesse. -----Original Message----- From: jeff-hartsell [mailto:jeff-hartsell@sandhills.com] Sent: Tuesday, August 31, 1999 12:25 PM To: 'gm7thsea@darkedge.com' Subject: [7th Sea RPG GM] 7th Sea House Rules Armor Since this might be a popular item, I will allow people to purchase armor. This is not the uber-dracheneisen armor. This is plain-Jane, can help in a pinch, but is not that flexible armor. There are two levels of armor. Leather "armor" or metal "armor". Leather gives you a +1 unkept die to soak damage and lowers your unkept die by 1 for all physical actions, such as fighting, damage, climbing, balance, etc. Metal armor gives you +2 unkept dice to soak damage, but you lose 1 kept die for all physical actions. -- Contents Copyright (C) 1997,98,99 by ALDERAC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP, INC.
